Course Title:
Discoverer for End Users

Duration: 1 day

Course Overview
This course provides a hands-on approach to Oracle’s Discoverer application for End Users. The course begins with a very brief overview of the Oracle database and Oracle Discoverer’s place in the system. Delegates will then use the wizards to create the four different types of report that can be generated.

Delegates will be guided through drilling, sorting, totals, percentages, conditions, exceptions, formatting, printing, parameters, scheduling, graphs and exporting. The course is structured in such a way that the delegates are using Discoverer for the entire day. They will be taken through tasks step-by-step and then given exercises to enforce what they have just learned.

My group have used Pentland Training twice in the past two years for in-house Oracle courses. Pentland Training was recommended to us by another group with whom we interact within GSK.

The two courses met all our objectives relating to price, content covered, and tailoring to our needs. The last objective of having customised course content was especially important to us as other training companies tended to offer “one size suits all” training where much of the content was irrelevant to our needs.

Pentland will be our first choice for future training needs.
