Course Title:
Fundamentals of RMAN

Duration: 1 day

Course Overview
This course focuses on Oracle’s backup and recovery utility Recovery Manager (RMAN). The delegates will learn about the architecture of RMAN and how to use it both with a catalogue and without a catalogue. They will look at running RMAN scripts from the prompt, from stored files and from shell scripts. They will be exposed to a wide range of backups, from a complete online backup using the tool, to simply backing up individual tablespaces, data files and control files. To compliment the backup procedures associated with RMAN, delegates will also learn the different recovery methods, from complete database recovery to point-in-time recovery.
